Book Review: Tatsuya Miyanishi’s Tyrannosaurus Series
These books aren’t your typical dinosaur books for boys. Yes, they have bold illustrations and dramatic plot lines, but behind this are sentimental stories which touch on the ability to love, forgive, share friendship, and be one’s true self. Great for reading together – it’s Luka compatible for audio, and there’s Chinese and English version.
Book review: 米小圈上学记 Mi Xiao Quan’s School Diary
Dogman and Diary of a Wimpy Kid are books that I half-wish my 7 year-old had never discovered. I say half-wish, because whilst I’m not a fan of these English series, the upside has been finding a similar equivalent in Chinese. Her discovery of Mi Xiao Quan 米小圈 has catapulted her love of reading in Chinese.
